About

Have been playing the city games in China for about a decade, I came to Australia and that makes my straying dream nearly come true. But I miss my homwtown, a place they call Jiang Nan. Even though I am here enjoying the alien air and langscapes, my heart is always with China.

Recent

After two friends and I took a house in a suburb area of Australia, the real life continues with stressful paces and extra entertainments. Life can never stop, so does the sunshine.

flying graudation 29 June 2007 |

How time flies...Ten weeks passed just as a flying arrow. Today all students got their graduate certificates in a big building in the morning. With swarming overseas students and their exciting whispers or gossips, the commencement actually took place very simply and tenderly. Some classmates and I took a lot of photos which may be left to commemorated in future days here.
After the informal commencement for our bridging program, Patrick and Ben led us to somewhere to have our lunch. The chickens tasted good and delicious. I really appreciate it and it did make me full and content.
Finally, a so-called bush dance took place beside our lunch destination and many students joined in it. The music was really fantastic and with an obvious England-style. Those happy students danced hand-in-hand and big smiles overflowed from their faces. Although i was a bit ashamed, i finally made my decision to dance with a few other classmates. Just enjoy it!
In this day, something happy really happened to me, but as the Chinese saying goes: all good things must come to an end(天下无不散之宴席), do not dwell on the past but look forward to the future. Friends will be beyond me one day, i have no need to be sad. As the male role in that movie TITANIC says: make each day count!

easy to kill time |

Yesterday a few classmates went to Andy's house at night. It was raining at that time but we finally made it. Fortunately the guy who lives with Andy was there and we chatted with him happily. Actually he is a bit different from other local Australians. Strangely he is sort of ashamed and not so talkative but very kind and always with a big smile. We all like him and prone to talk with him. However, when I talked with him I could feel that my brain was lack of necessary vocabularies. Sadly I have learned English for many years but haven't achieved it practically.
That afternoon, with the rain dripping down outside Andy's room, we just sat down tailor-fashion on the carpet and talked about gossip. Yeh, really a happy afternoon with casual talking and comfortable environment.
Annie's big action made our mouths big and big

Actually these a few days i have spent many hours playing computer games with other friends, that makes me bored and tired but i cannot find other ways out to relieve myself. The same as this afternoon till night, Charles, Luis and Leo again came to our house...and next, Warcraft, Warcraft..i finally escaped from that staff of things by going out to my friend's house, where i used to live when i firstly came to Australia. Jacky made a large progress in his job and he told me that he could earned himself about 4,000 dollars per month, which really gave me a big shock. Yeah, he is a smart guy after all. He will go back to China this Sunday. I have made up my decision to buy a 512M or 1G ram, which may be brought here when Jacky returned Australia after over half-a-month time.
When i left his house i called Maggie that i meant to visit her mother, who had gotten here a few days ago. But she was outside, so i could only pass her house and go back. It was tranquil on the roads, as well as in my heart.
Life is gong on, just enjoy it.

puffing billy 24 June 2007 |

Today, another 4 classmates(Jenny, Max, Ross, Anny) and me went to Puffing Billy Steam Train. It is a famous place of interest which is probably the resort for many local Australians. We five persons together with 8 persons of another class went there in cold because the train usually goes through the chilly forest. I regret wearing fewer clothes, thanks to my new hat, my head was warmer.
We started from Belgrave, passing Menzies Creek and Lakeside and finally got at the small town, Gembrook; in the afternoon, we took the train going back to the start.
Actually at first we took photos zealously but after noon our passion was shocked by the cold and tire. However, the landscapes are really fantastic and worth memorizing. We chat in the old train and saw the over-passionate locals wave their hands to us without embarrassment and doubt when the train slowly shuttled in the damp fog and weak sunshine. We also enjoyed the special customs of local towns where people looked very easy and children played swing and bicycles happily. It just gave me a feeling of leisure and peace. It is a real pity that it was not hot today. But it is all right for a beautiful and wonderful day.

free now 21 June 2007 |

Today i have finished my oral presentation and i am supposed to feel free. But sometimes if you succeed in doing something and you get out of the stress you will probably feel blank and nothing is worth doing again. To think a lot may attribute to melancholy, but sometimes i cannot control my wandering of my thoughts. Every day i feel degenerate but actually i am not good at self-restraint. Maybe once my formal classes begin i will plunge myself into studying.
In the afternoon, Sven gave me a copy of the Taiwan entertainment program GUESS. It is a really funny program as a result of the outstanding performance of Wu Zong Xian. In fact sometimes this guy is a little satiric and aggressive in his words making others sick. No wonder for several times when he walks in street, he was attacked by some anonymous men. During the GUESS program, i got a good song sang by the Chen Jing Hong. The background song is this. In ehgilsh, this song's name means WHO IS GONNA LOVE ME...
This program really reminds me of that period of time when i was in my university. I often went to net bar with my friends because we had nothing to do just spending our corrupt time on games or chatting or looking for some provocative information on net. Sometimes when i look back to that period of time, i always recall my friends, my dear friends, who are fighting with their lives around the cities.
Just now, i was chatting with an old net friend called Yatou; we have known since 2 or 3 years ago when i was addicted in the Internet game JX1. Afterwards we have some quarrel in JX2. A little childish, right. We haven't made friends again until a few months ago. She is dedicated in popularizing the old Chinese clothes which are called Han Fu. Pretty good. When i saw her pictures, i cannot help thinking of trying those clothes.

a fantastic day 18 June 2007 |

To tell the truth, i have never gotten up so early as today because there was a morning class. As soon as i arrived at my class, Patrick told me to firstly give my oral presentation. A little hurry, cause i didn't prepare it very well last night. But finally i made it. i have learned to be totally with confidence.
After the class, Andy came to class very late and Jenny, him and I decided to go shopping because Andy and I want to buy quilts. We went to Stu Park and searched in a few shopping centres looking for suitable quilts. Finally i bought one at the price of 30$. Pretty cheap.
Afterwards, Jenny and I visited to Andy's house. In the house he rents there is also a local man called Bradie living there. He is very handsome at the first glance. Andy told me that he is major in music and can play the piano very well. I feel envious of him but that is the only thing i can do. He might be talented, but as for me, art is just a dream. Actually that buddy is very kindly and we all have a good sense for him.

Brooks once told me that Maggie would come to our house for dinner. She would cut hair for us. Sounds technical. Actually 6 persons had dinner together. Besides we three, Charles, Maggie and Andy joined in. We had a bright and happy dinner this afternoon. An amazing thing happened afterwards was that Maggie cut hairs for me, Charles and Brooks. It was really an interesting experience to make my hair cut by an apprentice. But Maggie didn't let me down. My hair style was improved even though during the cutting process i suffered from a little pain and embarrassment. But Brooks and Charles might not be so fortunate, their hairs are probably messed up looking very funny.

I checked in the calendar that it was the Father's Day yesterday; and tomorrow is the Dragon Boat Festival which is in memory of Qu Yuan. Sometimes i am not prone to think up these festivals. But staying abroad, these festivals remind me of Chinese culture and Chinese customs.
At night my mother called me and asked me about my daily life. i replied with embarrassment and shame cause for about two months i have used about 23000 RMB. I really feel guilty and so sorry for my parents...
I was informed also that in Melbourne City there was a gun case a few hours ago. Sounds really dangerous and horrible. While in China, i have no need to think about robbing or shooting. i want to say that sentence again: Australia is just so so...

The virus month 17 June 2007 |

Oh! Shit! i cannot help saying something rude to the notorious virus!
For about a month-period, my computer had suffered from virus infection for three times. The first time is in control except a small problem related with the signs of hard disks; the second time made me to reset the system; yesterday my friend who is the brother-in-law of my previous landlord visited my house and wanted to copy some movies from my computer but there was some virus in his extended harddisk(mobile harddisk). More seriously, the anti-virus software Kaspersky didn't prevent and kill the virus, on contrary, it was baned by the virus and i cannot open it again...
Fortunately, the anti-spyware software AVG killed one of the virus's process and i could open it to carry out a complete system scan. Finally, "nearly" all of the viruses are killed and afterwards i could enter the soft mode to regulate and administrate my computer again. I just use the word"nearly" because currently when my computer starts up to the desktop, there are certain light sounds which i cannot figure out.
My computer may not be clean and that makes me feel gloomy. I fact, it has been in use for about three years and no big problems exist. The most serious problem may due to the 256M memory. I have made my decision to add a 1G memory to my computer only waiting for my friend going back to China.
The last thing, is that Kaspersky lets me down. I always believe in it but...Moreover, the autostarts of my computer is added with Kaspersky and AVG...i am far away from the days when i can open my computer without any processes of anti-spyware or anti-virus softwares...

Queen brings the rain 11 June 2007 |

It is a public holiday today because the second Monday of June is Queen's birthday in Australia. A little funny. So i have a three-day weekend spending the last day in facing the computer and doing dispensable things.
It was a little cold today with fitful rain after noon. As soon as Brooks hung his clothes outside the rain poured so he did that fruitlessly. We made fun of him. Even seriously, Sven's clothes have been hung outside for about three days but they have't been dry. That may attribute to the abnormal rain in Australia. Even now, i can hear the heavy sound of rain outside the window beside me. This is the first time for me to see such a heavy rain here.
Even the rain cannot make me feel tranquilt. My memory sometimes runs back to a few years ago when i was in Nanjing in China or in Huai An. But people cannot live in the past. Look forward to the future, everything will be all right. My english teacher PAtrick always say that.

computer game party 10 June 2007 |

Since i moved into the new house, i have been feeling degenerate for a long time.
Each day i fell asleep very late and get up till noon. More worse, i almost forget my task is to study but not to be lazy. However, a lot of interesting things happened during this time.
A few friends of Brooks visited our house last night and we played Warcraft games till deep night. To kill time is easy, leaving happy memories.
This night, part of them visited our house again just now and we played games elatedly. The man from Greece who is called Alex disturbed us because he wanted to use our washing machine. He is a little talkative but annoyed. The day before yesterday, we spent about two hours talking about the history of Greece and China and the resorts of Australia. He is sort of persuasive but sometimes makes others feel uncomfortable because his misunderstanding of China. The deepest impression he gives me is that he is fond of checking a certain word on google or wikipedia and show it to you to explain the exact meaning. Above all, he is a funny guy. He told me that the animal POSSUM makes the strange sound on the roof of our house. This is the first time i've seen this kind of animal.
Life is going on with regret. Nothing can be utilized to make permanent happiness.
By the way, i fall into love with the songs of penny(tai pei nee) again. Even though i am in Australia, i do not contact with English songs as well as other things. This is a little strange.
